Carpet Color Change DIY?
Hey all. My carpet is in pretty decent shape but admittedly, its a little worn along the those notorious humps we all hate. Any way, I've been thinking about refinishing it and applying a dye to it just to bring it back to life and make it nice and black. However, it also occurred to me that if it could be re-darkened, could it not also be dyed a different color? Hopefully a nice deep red like the one that comes stock in other S2000s? Ideally, I'd like to achieve this interior combo https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/gallery/i...323-fsdgfdjpg/. I love it and I think it would add a really nice unique effect to my sebring silver AP1. Maybe even up its value if done tastefully.
I'd like a few opinions/feedback from other members who have experience with something like this. You guys think its possible to successfully dye/paint the carpet a nice red via vinyl dye/spray paint etc?
What about carpet removal? Is it hard/complicated/time consuming? I'd appreciate a link to a how-to on the carpet removal. Thank you all.

Carpet removal isn't really hard, just tedious. There are a lot of panels and clips to remove. Some of the clips are really only designed to be used once. I had to replace a few since they wouldn't hold anymore but most of them are holding fine.
I read it is common for the carpet to become hard and crunchy when you dye/paint it.
OEM red carpets come up for sale used sometimes(I think usually around $300).
