Default Cracking seat leather

I'm getting a crack in the leather on one panel of each seat in my 06 S (89k miles). Is it possible to replace individual panels and, if so, how much should an auto upholstery shop or dealer charge? Will a dealer do it?

Replacing the single panel is definately something the dealership wont do for you. The would replace the entire cover but will actually just sublet the work anyways. Meaning that you would pay more than you would just ordering new covers and taking it to an upholstery shop yourself. You do have the option of trying to get a upholstery shop replacing that single panel but honestly it's not a prefered repair. For a couple reasons, one; it will be pretty difficult to match the exact color and wear of the other panels. Your best option (but obviously not the cheapest) if it truely bothers you is to have a upholstery shop make you a set of new covers. You will be able to get exactly what you want and as long as they're reputable the fit and finish will be amazing.

You could buy the Clazzio seat covers for not too much. They look great and from the comments on the boards, they have excellent fit/finish! Might be a decently cheap alternative as I can imagine an upholstery shop would not be cheap to make custom covers for you. Plus this way both your seats will match, not just one looking brand new and the other looking almost 6 years old...

See if you can find a good auto upholstery shop in your area. You do not want to know what Honda charges for replacement seat panels, just to purchase the actual part, not including installation. I think 2 replacement seats for my ap1 would exceed 50% of the vehicle value, lol.

send me a PM. I got LOTS of OEM seat covers sitting in my shop from doing custom jobs. I can tell you how to take the seat apart and how to get the cover off and I can replace both outer bolster pieces for you no sweat.
