Default Deform lines on dashboard

Guys,

Just curious if others have lines on their dashboard. Right now I can see them at certain angles and barely noticeable when I put my fingers on them (no major lump yet)

Car has been only 10 months old. I have not seen these lines on my previous car.

I haven't seen it on my 07, and I do keep it parked outside on my driveway all the time (unfortunately ) I also don't have the year round sun that California has, so I don't know.

But.....back to the dealer I would go. You should still have a warranty....unless you drive as much as I do. My 36K one has been over about 800 miles ago.

Car only has 9k miles and I do have a garage. I am not sure at this point is it worth having the dealer took her apart. They might do more damage than fix the problem .

well just have them look at it? they wont take anything apart without determining what the problem is. a doctor isnt going to operate without diagnosing the problem first. same concept.

this is a common issue... if you do a search for "bubbling dash" you'll find that many owners have had success taking their cars in to have the dash replaced under warranty

I'm also aware of the "bubbling" dash, but that affects the older AP1s only. I don't know of any newer AP2s that have this problem. The dash material is actually different on the newer models.

wrong, there have been reports of ap2 owners with the same issue. what material are the newer dashes made of? i was under the impression they were all vinyl...

I stand corrected then, but I thought they were AP1s only. Sorry about that. I did hear somewhere on here that the newer AP2 dashes were slightly different, although I cannot confirm. I had an 01 that was stolen pretty quickly, then several years later got my 07. Don't remember my 01 too much.

Took a drive to Norm Reeves in Huntington Beach (some here recommended).

The manager said he has no problem replacing (doesn't sound so thrill) the dash but highly recommended that I don't do it cause it will not be the same, ie scratches, rattles. He said it is not that visible unless "you look for it" and recommended that I do it when it is more visible.

I am kind of undecided if I should let the dealer tear her apart. I recently had my 350z roadster's top replaced by the dealer and it took them mutiple times to do it right.

I guess I will live with it until my warranty is close to expiring.
