Deform lines on dashboard
[QUOTE=tntrac,Sep 18 2008, 04:53 PM]Took a drive to Norm Reeves in Huntington Beach (some here recommended).
The manager said he has no problem replacing (doesn't sound so thrill) the dash but highly recommended that I don't do it cause it will not be the same, ie scratches, rattles.

Thanks for your reply.
I just stopped by Norm Reeves in West Covina (locally to my place) and they wrote up the order for the new dash. They said they have replaced a few dashboard on the S2000.
Can anybody guess if they are going to remove the seats to do the dashboard swap? I have seat locks and one of them is really messed up (over torqued it and now chipped).

hey, got your pm. i didnt get lines, but had the bubbles/bumps on my dash; and yea went to norm reeves in hb, i think my service rep was a lady named barbera (?), who was refered to me by another member that had the replacement done there too. but since the dealer told you they couldnt guarantee their workmanship this time, maybe you should try another place.
but yea, my replacement went well except for a small hair line scratch on the plastic screen of the speedometer. i considered it a small trade off, cuz that dash bothered me a lot!
you should also try honda world in westminster (several miles down the street from norm reeves). ask for andy or chris, they usually handle the s2k jobs here.
good luck!

I am crossing my fingers on the swap. I just looked at the dashboard and it wraps down to the stereo unit. Looks like a hard job.
I have taken a dashboard out of an older car before to fix an odometer that wasn't working. I ended up having the dashboard on my bed (to avoid scratches). Like anything else, I have left over screws, etc..
