door is stuck closed in locked position
Yes, this thread is a couple years old, however....
I have this issue as well. All of what I'm finding on S2ki refers to using the key fob to unlock/lock the car and the key fob not connecting. That is not the case in this situation. When you hit the unlock button on the keyfob, its as if the car will unlock, however, something forces the locking mechanism to lock immediately yet again. This causes you to be locked inside the car. The only way in and out of the car is by the key fob...and timing. You can't manually unlock the car from inside by pulling the "lock" tab on the door handle because it is stuck, as per the OP. You also can't use the key to lock/unlock as per the OP.
Heat/weather has nothing to do with this. It happened to me on a hot, warm, sunny day at an autocross. Perhaps the AP1 got mad at me because I haven't driven it in awhile and fell in love with my CR.
Anyway, to get around this and to get the door to open, you have to time when you hit the unlock button and pulling the lever/handle correctly. You wait too long and the door is locked again. So:
1. Hit the unlock button on the key fob
2. Wait to hear for it to unlock and immediately pull the door lever/handle to open the door.
I will be taking off the door card and determine why and how this is happening.

Right, but the keyless entry system is all tied together, so even if you use the key it has to communicate with the system. Using the key has the effect as using the fob so I'd think the problem is somewhere in the electronics of the keyless system, something is throwing a fault.
I see thisbis an old post but I havse the same problem. My driver door is stuck on lock, can open with key from outside but when I'm in the car I have to use the fob, unlock it, and quickly get out. Had anyone found out how to resolve this issue?
Recently experienced this issue and found that it was caused by the lock button on the interior door handle breaking. This button is hinged and push/pulls a rod connected to the door lock mechanism. Only repair is to order a replacement interior door handle, since the lock button is not sold as a separate part.
