Default Footwell LED Lights

Hey guys,

I recently installed some footwell LED lights in my S. I wired them to the door latch so every time the doors are open the lights come on. The only problem is that ever since I wired these, my Compustar alarm trips ever so often (voltage/current from led related..?) I was wondering if there is another spot I could try wiring so that they still turn on when the doors open. How have you guys wired yours??

Thanks!

Sounds good, what's the easiest way to tap into the map lights? Do I really have to run wires all the way up to the windshield?

Although I used regular light socket that takes a 12 volt light bulb (these were readily available at car parts stores/Wal-Marts/etc)I ran a separate wire to the fuse panel, added a "add a mini-fuse" then tapped into each door ground button. When either door opens, the footwell lights come one ......
