When I purchase my S2k I want it to have the black and tan interior... what I need from you very well informed enthusiasts is to know what year S2k's came with that color as an option?
I've seen that combo in 2003, and 2005. Since I'm interested in the AP1 that doesn't leave me with many options. Your help is appreciated.

 

I know for a fact 05 GPW all have tan/black interior I own one. I think 03 also if I'm not mistaken.
Nice desicion on tan and black, I love it. Wouldn't trade it for any other interior.

Think 01 and 02 was all red interior. 2006-2009 was the red/black combo interior. 2008 and 2009 look really good, although I also like the tan.

 

yes, 04 also have tan. so 03-05.

 

2004-2006 i believe is going to be your only tan and black interior years.

 

06 gpw is full black, 03-05 are your only options

you can also find someone to trade tan for black i'm sure if you end up with an earlier model AP1 / later model Ap2 (although a few things are not direct swaps in the later AP2's).

 

yes. 03-05 for sure, that leaves me with one year of AP1 black and tan.... holy crap.
Alrighty... so next question. Is the interior some how given in the Vin code. Usually its not. I'm sure some one knows.
I could start looking for a interior that comes from a true black and tan, and just buy a car from those years.

 

It can be done... If I recall correctly there are only a little over 700 2003 GPW's ever made. If you want an AP1 with tan seats that are original you have to find one of those. Luckily I found mine already. Good luck.
