Today I discovered a tear in my soft top. If anybody could tell me what's the best approach to repairing my soft top. Any input is welcome

With small tares like that I have always used Black RTV. Didn't leak, flexable and durable. Loved it! Just put a little on both sides of the tare, let dry and your done!

Mine has a tear exactly like that - I picked up some convertible top fabric at an upholstery shop and cut an oval shape a little larger than the size of the tear. I used a glue/sealant made for repairing neoprene waders to glue the patch to the top from the inside (I bought the stuff at an outdoor products store, and it binds extremely well). It's been six months and no leaks, further tearing, or anything. One of the top bars passes over it whenever I open or close the top too, so the stuff has held up pretty darn well.
