Default how hard do your really have to pull

 I have tried to remove the radio door, as was shown in an earlier forum but how hard do you have to pull? Can you break it, and do the clips that hold it on have to be replaced?[FONT=Arial][COLOR=red][B]

just pull enough so you can get your fingers behind the frame, and then you can put a safer leverage on the part and it will pop off.

One piece of advice, when you reinstall it, lift up the center console so the radio door slides behind the front lip, then put in the bottom of the radio door first and then push in the upper section. If you do it in reverse you will break the lower clips and it won't sit flush.

get a pick tool. stick it behind the cover and pull on it. its all clips!! make sure the center console is unclip too since it kinda gets in the way when your trying to remove the bottom. and a pick tool is ideal when your trying to push out those pins that is holding the radio door.

exactly.
it looks like it's not related - but it doesn't even start to work out untill you remove top cover of the central console......

Depends on the year. IIRC, AP1's can remove the radio door easily without even touching the center console. I've heard AP2 owners claim that they can do the same but I've never had any luck removing the radio door without removing the center console in my 06.

Are the clips replaceable if broken. I am planning on installing a
Ricks glove fit transmission cover and boot when I replace the radio door...
