Default Question

Well I've basically ran the whole senerio through my head but wanted to get some feedback from you guys on the best way to approach this. Well the outlet is just hanging in the opening and not secured it keeps popping out and is getting annoying. My question is do I have to take that center compartment completely out to secure it? Will I need any parts to secure it and has anybody had this problem?

Thanks for any and all input

You could always pop a little dad of superglue, just enough to hold in it place but not enough to make it permanent.

yes you do have to remove one of the panels on the side of the glovebox to reach back there...then some simple blue loctite should do the trick...put it on the threads then tighten it and it shouldn't happen again...there is def a thread on this:

I've tried that DIY, but I found it hard to fix this. I guess my hands are BIG for that one. Eventually, I just wrapped some insulating tape around the socket and put it back on. No issues since then.

i had same problem,

you can remove the panel behind drivers seat..
pop out the center arm rest panel a little bit to access the glove box screws.. that makes it so you can shimmy the glove box up enough to now to stick your hand in through the side and spin the locking cig. lighter nut to tighten it all back up.

it bothered me a lot, and now its nice and tight
