How rare is the all red leather interior
I'm not feeling it; I'll have to trust you that it looks good in person.
I have a sad story about an all red interior GPW 02. In 2009 I found one near Cleveland for sale. I looked at it on a Sat. Owner had just gotten a new car so the S was at his fathers house in the garage. I drive it and it was, of course, wonderful. Went home and told him I would be back the next weekend to buy. He said he would park it in his driveway and cover it. I came back next weekend with cash in hand and as I pulled up something hit the top of my car. I got out and there was a dent on my roof. I look up and up and up to the very tall oak tree limbed to about 50ft. I see another one dropping....an acorn in free fall for fifty feet accelerates pretty good. He uncovers the car.....acorn dents on every horizontal surface. He offers me 500 dollars off.... sadly I declined and thats my all red interior story.
Fact: 2002 was the only year you could get a a GPW AP1 with FULL RED interior. Not 00, not 01. Theres rumors of a few GPW carryovers into 2003, but I have never seen any proof.
Fact: In the US AP2's (in any color) NEVER came with full red interior.
I dreamed about owning an GPW with full red when they first came out but at the time I couldn't afford to buy one new. Four years ago I was fortunate enough to find one with 18k on it. I still have it, and now it has 23k.

Much like the all blue interior, I think the all red is a bit too much too. The coloured vinyl pieces tend to be very "loud" in all red and all blue on the S2000 interiors. I prefer to go with a mixture of black and blue or black and red. Here's a shot of my creation, but to each their own.
