Not sure if I can explain this well, but I am sure you guys will know what I am talking about. So the paint on my A/C control is shedding off and I was wondering what I could do to "repair" this? I didn't realize it until I turned on my lights and saw the orange illuminating from the switch. Any help is appreciated.

 

Well there is a vendor that sells various types of stick-on covers for that area. Aluminum, CF, etc. You could also do a vinyl wrap yourself or literally paint it.

 

I've done carbon vinyl on one set, and painted one set Silverstone Metallic. The radio one was easy to paint since the face pops off. The A/C control one does not. I pulled the knobs off, and had to use tape and mask off the circles for the indicators which took a while to do. You will also have to tear the control apart and take out the little plastic peice where the fan indicators are so you dont paint them. They did turn out really good, just alot of work. I would just find some kind of dash kit, or get some 3M carbon vinyl like alot of people have done, and wrap them.
