Default Moddiction shift knob question

I just received my moddiction anvil 2 knob and it came with 2 nuts. Do i need to screw both onto the shifter or is the second one extra? I screwed on one nut and then the knob over that one. Seems to be on there pretty tight. Is the second just an extra? TIA

I installed mine a couple years ago, but as I recall there are 2 nuts so you can "lock" them at the height you want and to get the orientation of the knob set when you tighten it down on the nuts.

There was no lock washer included in the package. I drove it with just one nut under the knob and its been working fine. Would there be any long term issues using one nut and no washer?

It might stay in place, but you might find it loosens over time. With the two nuts locked together mine has been fine.
There was no lock washer with mine either. Just 2 nuts.

Cool thanks for the help. Im going to play around with the second nut when i get home. The knob does sit a little too low with just the one nut.

mine came with a lock washer, since you can't tighten the nut due to the countersunk design the lock washer helps to maintain constant pressure on the knob to keep it tight.
