my water bottle always sits on its side right infront of the passenger seat that I keep slid all the way back. I rarely ever use the "cup holder". I dont like shifting like I have a broken arm.

Is there a way to keep the divider down (like the pic above)? Mine seems to always be in the upright/flipped-up position. I tried pushing it down but it keeps popping back up. So maybe its just defective? No pun intended.

it should click and lock down when pushed, so it does indeed sound a bit broken.

I broke mine too. It took my dad and I hours to fry and figure out how the spring is supposed to sit to make sure it holds it self up.
