Thumbs up OEM Seat Lowered around an 1" HELP

It all started when I had to hunch over trying to see traffic lights, and ended by losing my favorite baseball cap!
I have an 06 AP2 and want to run a lowered stock seat. I have heard nothing but bad things about the a certian type of rail, welds breaking, hard to install on AP2, air bags will not work on 06 and later, handles break off, I think that is about it. But that is shit I read, and I only beleive a portion of that. As far as things not fitting or working, well there are alot of challenged people in the world and some of them own S2000s, what can I say. And there are those people with machine shops in their backyards who can make anything fit anywhere! But it is enough to raise a flag.
I have read about 50 pages of forum and the only thing I have found that works is Backyard Supply, and then I heard about installation problems with air bags and the rail costs 300 bucks plus another 100 for shipping from Japan! Lots of the post have been from people trying to help but who have not actually done it. Not putting anyone down all the input is great because I know better now than to just buy the first I see and think it will fit. BTW i am not 6'5" or anything, I fit okay I just prefer it be lower in the seat. Does anybody actually own a seat rail that they installed in an afternoon, drinking less than a six pack on an 06 or later and everything still works?

I knew there is no rail system on the planet that lowers the seat as described above. 50 something people looked at this and no one had a comment.

the backyard special seat works just fine. the seat position sensor on the rail detects part of he seat rail that passes through the sensor to throw the airbag detection light, but you have to be less than 5 feet tall to have the seat that close to the wheel. the bys rail isn't cheap, but I picked mine up used for about 200
