I was vacuuming out my car a little while ago and decided to remove the floor mat holders. I had noticed a while back that the copper rings on the floor mat had become discolored and a bit of rust was showing on the holders. Pulled up the carpet a bit and the holders were in horrible shape, paint peeling up and rusted all over. One of the screws was completely rusted through. There was even a bit of rust on the crossbeam that the holders screw into. I took them out and sanded of the rust on the crossbeam. I'm going to go back later and give it another sanding a prime over it.

Anyone else ever had this issue? If not, best to just give a looksee.
