Default S2000 quick release steering wheel question

As I was considering ways to keep my S2000 from theft I was wondering if buying a quick release steering wheel will help the cause. Because of the fact I will not have a garage when I move, besides my alarm system will taking my quick release steering wheel after I turn my wheels to the far right/left after parking be an additional safety measure? I want to turn the wheels as much as possible so if they tow the car it will turn. Are all hubs made the same? Will they be able to simply attach a steering wheel of their own to turn the wheels straight and tow it away? = (

The first and foremost thing you need to realize is that, if a thief wants your car it will be taken. No amount of anti-theft/ security will stop them. With this being said there are plenty of things that can be done to take a theif from a fast pace theft to a very slow crawl detering them from attempting theft on your car. I also have a detachable Momo wheel in my s2000, if you decide to go this route you also need to invest in a hub lock. Its a little lock devive that goes over your exposed hub to prevent a possible theif putting there detachable wheel on your car and driving off. This being said it is possible to break through this hub lock, but it takes a 12 volt drill and about 3 minuets. So that in its self is a huge help. Any high dollar after market alarm system is also a good idea. I read that you have an alarm system, if its OEM, its ok at best. If its after market thats better, I run the viper 5102 in all my cars, this model has the ability to have pretty much every additinol thing added to it, to make it that much better. Some add ons include, back up battery ( for if they pop your hood and dissconect the battery the alarm will still function, tilt sensor ( incase they try to tow your car with a flat bed or jack it up to steal wheels), shock sensor ( if some one bangs up against it) piezzo sirens( extermly loud and annoying things that go inside the cars interior so it makes it unbearable to do any thing inside the car while these are goinf off. GPS, self explanitory, hood pop sensor, or mercury sensor, so if the hood is popped it sets off the alarm. Trunk pop sensor, Audio/ glass break sensor, and a few others that I cant think of. Kill switches, master power shut off switches any thing like that is all added security. Be creative, put your kill switches in places that people dont think to look, I have seen things such as the main relay wires being redirected to the interior light. So when you park the car you pop out the light and then there is no direct power to the car. Low jack is your best friend, its abou 800 bucks but worth every penny. Most insurnace companies offer a discount with it being installed, have all your glass etched at the local dealer. Low jack does have its down sides tho, it runs off of cell phone signals, so if you have a smart theif he will just take the car to an area in the middle of no where that has no cell phone singal and 99.9 times will be fine. But then again there arnt to many dead spots any more, and low jack is extremly effective.

Please feel free to message me or respond on this thread with any more questions, and yes I carry a badge and a gun!
