There are so many options and combinations Im totally confused. I've got a budget of $500. Can I get a quick release hub and wheel that is QUALITY for this? Sorry if a repost, but search isn't helping me on this one. Thank yall!

I went with NRG hub (part #:SRK-131H ) and Quick release (Gen 2.5), steering wheel is OMP WRC (part #: OD1980N). OMP makes many of their steering wheels in different collored stitching and material (leather, suede).

A note about the NRG hubs....there are 2 that will fit the S2000, but the one I listed above comes with a different shaped hub and a resitor so the factory SRS reel can be retained.

Hope this helps, all told I think I came in at about $516 for the whle setup. Good Luck!

There is a steering wheel thread on this forum, a quick search might help.

Maybe NRG is decent quality but i've always associated it with ebay and china.. They are one of those companies that make literally everything and usually for a cheaper price than the rest.

I don't have a quick release as I didn't see the need for one but I use a works bell hub and personal steering wheel. Both are very important pieces so I would pay for quality.

NRG hubs are used on MANY MANY MANY race cars in both Amateur racing and the Conti Series pro-racing. Never have I seen a failure of any kind with them.

They never have any play and can only be installed in one orientation. Many "motorsport" QR with splines can but installed in many ways and with tons a of play, some even need to be welded on.

I have a NRG Short Hub polished, with a Techno-toy 50mm spacer (75mm pictured) and a NRG slim style QR. Works great for me and I like the rotating lock of this slim style QR.

I assume this would be a pretty decent package?

Hub - SRK-131H
QR - SRK-250B
Wheel - MOMO-TUN35BK0S

I know this isn't the easiest thing to do but I always recommend trying to hold the wheel you are going to buy. Even better if there are some local S2000 people that could help you out on this. I ordered a Nardi that I had never seen in person and happened to like, but my friend had a Personal that I used a few times and I hated it. Too thick for my hands and I just didn't find it comfortable. Just a thought.

Usually I'm function over form when it comes to the track car, but since I bought OMP seats I got the OMP wheel. Very nice quality and made in Italy. Sparco makes some nice wheels as well.

I agree.

To OP, if you can make it out to a local track event, you will be in the best showroom for racing equipment possible. In my experience, people are more than happy to let you sit in their cars and answer any questions you may have. Generally you will see way more products at a track event than in any store. Remember, safety equipment is universal except when it comes to cages, bars, and seat brackets. The seats, steering wheels, and harnesses go in a number of cars so Model X seat or Model Y steering wheel is the same whether it's in a corvette, miata, M3, or S2000.

I just ordered this wheel:

http://thmotorsports.com/momo/momo-s.../i-578345.aspx

I used coupon code "momo" and it brought it down to $169 with free shipping. Fantastic deal IMO

Should go well with the black/red interior
