Swapping in FRS/BRZ/86 Seats
Has anyone ever tried fitting the FRS or BRZ seats into the s2000? They are comfortable and fairly cheap to buy. I want to get some sort of cloth/fabric into the car (leather is painful in Texas heat), and this seems like the most economical option that can recline and use the regular 3 point seatbelt.
Never heard of anyone doing that. IMO interior is my favorite thing to blow money on because it's the majority of the experience if it's your daily, plus it makes it stand out far more than others.
Take a look at "sponsor s2000 exterior / interior" section
Specifically this thread is promising. Do carpets while your at it and buy stitched door panels.

To each their own I suppose. The FRS seats look like they belong in the new miata though because of the square head. Imo if your gonna swap seats into an s2000 The OEM or BRIDE are the way to go. I like the XL bride withn marginally wider bolsters. CR seats with yellow stitching on a yellow ap1 is my dream interior.
Please Check this thread when doing your research.
I recommend you just stick with what's proven at this point but you'll be custom fabricating something likely. A simple Google search didnt turn up much so you'll likely have to dig real deep to get any breadcrumbs. Since it sounds like you know someone with the seats I'd ask to take a look at his for dimensions. You likely be alone on this one. to find out you'll wanna make a list of what fits in the FRS and then find out what rails fit on S2000 and see if anything crosses over on those lists.
