have you guys seen a full write up on installing a tablet in the dash oem style

i saw the dash cutting club but they are all using old double dins that require you to cut and modify the ac vents,

if you use a tablet i think its thin enough that you dont have to modify anything in the back,

saw some youtube vids that look real good,

Well.
I am going to make one soon.
The way i am looking to do it's pure simple,i am not doing something really fancy.
I am just going to wire up with an aux cable to my alpine hd149bt..otg cable if i wanna do some movie watching on the tablet,i can plug usb onto the tablet n so.
My jdm bezel it's on the way.
So once i fot everything together i will do a full write aswell.

But i had never done anything like heating a bezel trim or cutting dash.
So first thing i gotta figure out of how to heat n reshape the jdm bezel n mount the tablet,than cut thw dash.

And than i can do the glue n wirings.

But the worse thing right now, it's that i can't find any details of how to heat n shape out the bezel also donno where do i start cutting the dash.

This is awesome, I have a nexus 7 laying around and I really want to do this. Ill see if I can do some research also

I already figured out all the software n wiring needed to install.
If u have a 2012 version u can have more easier set up on the software side,there is a full custom rom totally made for car mount.
As for the offline GPS i cracked a sygic offline gps with all the newest map.
U can get all traffic data just like google if u have internet.
Also works perfectly with out internet,with out traffic data.

If u get 2013 model, u will get so much better hardware specs with awesome full hd resolution.
But there's no custom rom as 2012 atm.
But...there is a custom kernel,that will make the otg usb functions, keep ur tablet in charge while running,n stick flash drive to tablet,u can watch porno while driving if u wanted.

The 2013 needs a root, custom kernel falsh n an app to customize some sleep mode n wake up mode functions, cause like i mentioned there is no car install rom for the new model yet.


While ive got everything ready,except some more cable wiring testing outs.
Than i will stay my project.

As for the oem jdm trim fitment.
I found it very eazy fit with the tablet.
THe only problem for me will be the cutting,i never done anything like this b4.

Forgot to mention ,
ANy of the root or custom kernel or rom will void ur tablets warranty, do it at ur own risk.

Oh pay me to do all the software for u lol.
