Default What to use on dash material

Ok so My Password JDM Center Console Cover in carbon didn't have that 10/10 fit and therefore rubbing on the bottom part of the dash on the right side (part of the dash that extends on each side of the radio door and where yours knees can touch)

that excessive rubbing has turned a little part of that extension grayish...I'm wondering if there's anything I can do that will fix that and restore it to the black it used to be...since it's vinyl maybe a vinyl repair kit?? or is there a special paint I can use??

help would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

Not paint per se but maybe some black vinyl dye would do the trick.

just bought some rustoleum vinyl/fabric paint in flat black (doesn't seem that the glossy black would match the dashboard)...will post pics of the results

I'd also suggest vinyl dye.

actually the rustoleum vinyl paint worked quite well...just a matter of masking off other parts but that's like everything you paint...i used the flat black and it turns out it was almost an exact match...the only thing I recommend is once the paint is dry to rub the area (that's just been painted) with a cloth of some kind...this will give it that slight shine which is how the dash really looks...no need to use the gloss paint as that would be too glossy

anyways very pleased with the results
