Darnnn... hehe.

Skip -

Yes, you busted us. Hehe. Sorry I got carried off topic. I tend to do that a lot, but then, you see, it's really Doug's fault since he started talking about the M5.... hope you have a good time at your event tonight. Is it a banquet type of event to award the racing champion? =D

Doug -

Becareful when you go out for ur last 1G cornering fun. Just beware that at the cold temperature, your tires might not be warm enough to do the 1000G cornering. =D
The snow hasn't fallen yet, but I saw weather predictions say that next week will go back up in termperature. It's just tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid 30's for the day.

Eric -

The weather is still now, even now in the afternoon. But, it sure was the right decision to make to keep the S2000 in since it's pretty cold now. And, I read somewhere on the board before that in such cold conditions, the S02s feel like worn out S02s in the dry. We can be safe, but the car will always be there. Rite? =D

Take care guys,
Jimmy
President of the Underground Upstate New York BMW Appreciation Society
Does that make it UUNYBAS?

Since I only have S-02s to drive on, even light snow would be a problem.

Eric is much too humble, so I'm letting the rest of the "Unofficial Upstate NY S2000 Club" know that Eric won the "Most Improved Solo II Driver in the Glen Region SCCA" tonight at the Glen Region Awards banquet.

Well this certainly looks like an interesting group to get to know. I live in Endicott and I have seen two or three S2K's around.
Mine is away for the winter and I have a 92 Civic Si Hatch that I'm driving now, but when the weather breaks, I'm looking forward to a get together. I'd like to get into the Solo events, and I've already gotten some advice.....
Do we have enough interest yet????

Welcome SUis1!
Things are going well here, we are starting to really get organized. So SUis1 tell us about your S2000.

EricN - so you have been holding out on us??? Congratulations!!!

I heard from FCGuy today - he is on the fence, not sure if he should buy an S2000, can you believe it?
I'm thinking a glowing endorsement from the Vice President of the Underground Upstate New York BMW Appreciation Society would be all he needs to run right out and order a new S2000.

So do you remember what today is? Yes that is right, in 1995 we got more than 40" of snow within a 24 hour perior of time. I will reflect upon this today when I go out for lunch and it will be 50 degrees and sunny. Upstate is great, it sure keeps you on your toes.

Eric,

Congradulations on your award! I'm guessing if you best the black S2000's autox time, then you know you will one of the best in the region. How does that guy (Chris?) go around the course so fast? A combination of driver and modified car?

Triple H,

This year is just so weird. By now, we should be burried in snow, but nope.. just some flurries.
Call me crazy, but I was actually happy to the snow fall on Saturday afternoon. =D

Jimmy, you're definitely crazy.

Native, but not nuts!

Were any of you out in the snow this weekend? I was very pleased
with the HVAC performance (This was the first time to see
it perform under wintry conditions). It cleared the windshield and the
rear glass (hardtop) in no time. I'm one of those who drives to town
with a 2" hole cut into the ice or snow, so defrosting rapidly is very
important. The S2000 passed the test!!

Now for the ultimate test: 12" of snow!!

Yes, I was out in the snow. I skipped the CRX-Si ride because of it, but was having a blast playing with power induced oversteer in my Nissan truck!

I too was very happy to see the snow. My only explanation is winter will be over sooner, if it would just get started. I have to blame this anticipation for spring on the S2000, because that is when it is due.

I was over at Holtz on Saturday, getting my fix, I go every weekend to sit in the S2000 for a few minutes, yes, I have the disease bad! Holtz has a blue S2000 on their lot, there is no buyer for it yet. They also had a 2002 Spa that came in already sold. It is going to someone in Naples, FL. Just imagine, flying to Rochester to spend time with the family for Christmas, and then driving home in your new Spa S2000. I'm thinking he will be VTECing by the time he gets to Virginia

Testut- what color is your car? Did you get the Hardtop at the time of your original order? This is the only option I'm ordering on my car and I have yet to see one.
