I think its pretty clear that there aren't a lot of gains to be had no matter which header you use. Thanks for 2 troll posts...

guys i know it probably doesn't equate to anything noticeable but the 2-1 merge seems really funky... It thins down and then opens up again on the next piece... also if u look at the pic showing the inside of the back pipe, you can see all that uneven piping... doesn't look very flow friendly to me but once again you probably wouldn't notice it...
Just remember if you wanna be fast all motor you gotta do it right and headers are a HUGE deal ESPECIALLY the merge area's style, diameter, etc...

No, I research everything before I buy. It is a J's replica. Look at the J's design:

It thins down and opens up again. You can see it in the Berk header since it is another J's replica. The Toda header has a similar flare as well.

well now that i look at it i can see why... its a slip over and then welded in place so the piping diameter SHOULD be the same inside but if u look at the ebay one its not exactly what i would consider smooth or even were the merge is. If you look at the reflection of the inside, see were to the left the piping is actually touching the other piece and then around the rest of it its uneven and has a few mm of gap.
prbly doesn't mean crap but Im very anal when it comes to airflow mods that deal with volumetric efficiency, velocity etc.

I installed the header this evening. The weight difference between this and the OEM unit is worth the money. I'd guess the stocker weighs almost twice as much. Fit and finish of the header were good. The welds look clean and everything lined up nicely.

Total time from jacking the car up to pulling it off the stands was 90 minutes. PB Blaster wasn't necessary and I only used my 12" ratchet. As others have stated you really have to get the car up in the air to pull the exhaust manifold out. I maxed out all 4 jack stands and I barely had enough room to get it off. The header slid in easily. I'll crank the car tomorrow evening after I make sure there isn't any oily residue on the pipes.

This thing is a knock-off so I don't expect it to replicate results of the J's unit 100%. I also didn't pay $1600... With the money I saved I decided to order an Invidia 70mm TP and Greddy Ti-C single today. Total price of header, TP, & exhaust came out $500 less than just the J's header. If I were going to stay NA I'd put the remaining funds on the Giles EMU make some serious power.

Everybody lusts after the high-dollar parts but I'm happy with this setup. I'll bet the remaining $500 that I make more power with my $1100 setup than the J's header makes by itself.

I went for the first ride with the header installed. At WOT the up-shift into 2nd gear chirps much harder. That surprised me as the dyno doesn't show much difference at that rpm. Overall the car pulled hard today and I'm certain I didn't lose any power.

The exhaust note is slightly different at low rpms. Aesthetically the header has already started to turn purple in a few spots. I'm sure it will look nice after a couple tanks of gas.

Money well spend.
