03 ecu?

Default 03 ecu?

i have an 00 ap1 i have heard that an ecu out of an 03 makes it run better? is this true? if so why?

i believed they are tuned differently
00-01 ecus are more conservative and 02-03 are said to show higher numbers on the dyno.

i have an 03 ecu on my 01 but didn't really tell any difference.

okay was just wondering if it was something worth doing. because i have a motor out of an 03 in my 00 but im just using my 00 ecu. would it be just a straight plug up or would i have to do anything?

You can't do this mod at your house. Has to be done at the dealer.

The keys are chipped, so when you switch ecu's it has to be reprogramed to that ecu. I did this on my old 01, and it was a little easier to drive down low.
