Default ARC Chamber on different intake?

Hey guys. I was just browsing and kept seeing the ARC intake. Then I got to wondering, has anyone ever tried to use the ARC Air Chamber with a custom intake? Or even modified with the OEM airbox? I dunno if it would make any difference with the OEM airbox. I sometimes see the ARC Filter box with the OEM arm, so just wondering how it would be the other way around. Plus it would be a cool looking intake, something different. Thoughts?

ar...why bother?

the oem air box is very very well design, not even sure why anyone would pay for a metal box sucking down hot engine air

I'm guessing that throwing a Samco hose on the intake would be cheaper and more aesthetically pleasing than trying to retrofit an ARC arm to the stock airbox.

Yeah, I was just wondering. Im not saying just a stock airbox, but a custom made intake. Also for how much that darn chamber is, it must do something, maybe...Has anyone tried to use the stock arm on the arc filter box, then put the chamber? To see if there is even any difference?

With the way the filter's set up, it basically functions as an expensive, good-looking short ram intake. I suppose if your fabrication skills were good and you could do something with a cooling plate you could isolate the filter enough to bring cold air into it, but you'd have to defeat the purpose of having a really good looking intake to do it, which is what the ARC's all about.
