I chose the BKR8E-11 (copper) over the BKR8EIX for the simple fact that it is pregapped to .044". I don't like the fact that the BKR8EIX is pregapped to only .032". Increasing the gap to the max safe amount (.040") is a bitch without breaking the electrode.

NGK 2668 (BKR8EIX)

If you want to use a copper plug
A lot cheaper if you want to change them out at every oil changeor after a full day of racing.

NGK BKR8E-11used in honda boats

for $28 you could get 15 of these with shipping.

IIRC the gap spec is .040-.044", so it will be okay. However, it seems intuitive that best performance would come from the largest gap that will still give a strong spark. I noticed that changing from Denso IK24 gapped at .040" to NGK BKR8E-11 gapped to .044" caused some knock counts in my FlashPro datalogs, so I believe the larger gap might be similar to advancing the timing a bit.

I don't believe a spark plug can change air / fuel ratios, unless there is something really wrong, like it's not firing.
