Are you talking about a high beam HID? That would require a retrofit to HID from the OEM halogen. The S2000's high beams are 55W H1 halogen bulbs. If you're wanting 100W HID low beams, don't bother. You'll need 100W ballasts (I'm not even sure they exist) and you'll have a horribly glaring, virtually unusable light from them. You'll also sacrifice the bulb's longevity by cranking up the heat like crazy and possibly melting your projectors and wiring. Not to mention, overtaxing your electrical system. Ugh.

Now, if you're talking about retrofitting 100W halogens into your high beams, that's another matter. It is possible, as there are a few options for a 100W halogen bulb. Bulb life will be shortened due to additional heat relative to 55W. You'll definitely want to use 16 or even 14 gauge wire and a ceramic connector to the bulb. The additional heat could damage the reflective housing and possibly the lense, too. Seems like a lot of risk, no?

The S2000 has awesome lighting from the factory. The high beams, at only 55W, are plenty good even in the country, where I live, in complete darkness with no moon or street lights anywhere around. They provide a long, bright pencil beam that gives me around 1000ft of usable light. The reflector design is too good to mess with risking melting my housings and wires. The ONLY possible "upgrade" I'd ever consider would be 65W H1's. But seriously, why bother?

I purchased Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs for my high beams, touted to be one of the brightest halogen bulbs on the market. They're marginally brighter, and not very expensive, but not sure if it's really worth it if you have stock bulbs already. If you've got a bulb burned out or something, then sure, go ahead and upgrade, otherwise it's kind of a novelty.
