i cruise at between 100k to 110k. That's abt 60-70mph. Official max legal speed in Singapore is 90kmh max.

Anyway, did some calculations and seem like bang for buck, hardtopguy package ought to be cheaper if compared to the J's racing 4.9.

there was some talk that the J's 4.77 is also sourced from Mazda, just strengthened. I wonder where they source their 4.9 and 5.1 from.

NO on your 4.9 idea. 4.77 is agressive to begin with. you will be in vtec or in and out of vtec constantly at freeway speeds i would think,
and you would think wrong...w/ 4.77s I'm at 5.5ish/k rpms at 96 mph in 6th gear...hardly freeway speed and nor is it vtec...people who don't own gears please take a seat, sheesh

As said, I have 4.77 and dont find them aggressive at all. Wow, I rev about 800-900 higher, its really nothing.

do it.

also, take into consideration the people that are saying it's not that aggressive have Ap1's, as noted in their profiles. Ap2's have shorter ratios in the transmission so a 4.99 in an AP2 will be shorter than a 4.99 in an AP1. Couple that with the Ap1's higher redline and it gives people an impression that you're not revving all too high (% of cruising rpm compared to redline)
