Thumbs up Accord calipers work on S2000?

I remember seeing a good while ago that someone mounted Honda Accord calipers on their S2000 which were a good bit bigger than the stock ones.
Anyone have more info on this? Would there be any gains from doing it? Or just looks better since the calipers are bigger?
I don't remember which year or model Accord they were from but just that the posted a couple pictures of it on some other thread.

That must have been me. There was a huge differance in stopping power and the pedal felt alot different (I wouldn't have to push the pedal down as far to get the car to come to a stop). But it's actually hard to say that it was just the calipers that made that big of a difference, because I upgraded to SS lines, drilled rotors, Hawk pads, and ATE super blue brake fluid at the same time I put the calipers on.

Also I wasn't even trying to put the Accord calipers on at the beginning. I had bought a used set of calipers that I thought were for an S2k. I grinded, smoothed, and painted them before I test fitted them and found out the S2K pads were too small for the front calipers. But the weird thing is that the mounting holes for the calipers were both the same and I was able to use OEM size rotors too. Oh and they also look alot better since there quit a bit bigger.

What year/trim version Accord? This seems like it'd be a reasonably cheap mod with potential benefits.

Nice! Yup definitely you I remember reading this from. Do you know which year and model Accord those are from? Did anything have to be modified to fit onto the S2000 or was it complete plug and play?

very cool

The increased pad to rotor surface would definitively make a difference.

Now the question is are the accord pad made to take spirited driving, autox, track events.

the S2000 oem pads have worked very well given the price point.

The increased surface area may be offset if the accord pad would not last 4x20 min intervals on the track.

^Well couldn't you get the same after market pads for the Accord that people get for the S2000? I'm sure they must make some better after market pads for Accords..

yes that is true but for an apples to apples comparison stock pads to stock pads I think the S200 pads are designed to handle higher temperatures before the former fails causing the pad to fall apart.

Cost Vs performance.

True could be that upgraded pads on the Accord are similar to stock pads on the S if the Accord ones don't hold up well. Still a nice and I'm sure cheap way to get some bigger calipers in there. Would love to find out some more info on the pads and year/ trim level these fit from and all. Could turn out to be a really cheap brake upgrade plus bigger calipers never hurt in the looks department but function over form especially for brakes!
