I have the ACT PP with OEM disk and ACT flywheel installed by Billman on my turbo S. Grips great, no chatter, maybe a TAD stiffer than stock, great feedback. Excellent clutch package.

ACT = crank walk

Worth reading into it before you make a decision.
Worth pointing out the basis of your comment
Rather than just making a throwaway comment like that on such an important part of the car!

BTW Mase just dynoed my 10 psi CTSC & AC @ 343WHP

That's what the search button is for. There are tons of useful threads dealing with this issue. No point in me explaining it to the best of my limited knowledge (I haven't actually used one), when you can search the topic and get advice from those who have used them and had issues. Thanks for your concern though.

If you feel like wasting your time enlightening the OP when he can simply search the issue, then please be my guest.

:end of rant:

What exactly do you mean by "acting funny"?

What exedy are you using?

occasionally it would get stuck in a gear.. I had exedy in my type R not my s2k.
I have no need for a clutch at the moment, my car is stock!

Sounds like bad tranny.. clutch wouldn't cause it to get stuck in gear.

To the crank walk comment how the hell would a clutch cause crank walk thats just ridiculous.

That's exactly was I was thinking about the clutch... the clutch would have nothing to do with it being stuck in gear. MAYBE a bad throw out bearing, but not the clutch or PP.

--------------------------

I don't believe that the clutch itself is the culprit of the crankwalk, but the tremendous forces of the ACT pressure plate. I've read about isolated, but very real, cases of crankwalk with this setup. Somehow other companies such as competition clutches have avoided such issues (perhaps by using PP springs with less resistance). I've also read about ACT PP owners taking preventative measures like bypassing the need to depress the clutch during startup (apparently the forces that would cause crankwalk are stronger at that point???). Contact InlinePro and ask them why they wont sell or recommend an ACT setup for their turbo kits, much less use one in their own cars!

Ridiculous NO. Plausible, ABSOLUTELY. But don't take my word for it... Use the wonderful search feature that has been provided for us to read about it yourself.

the heavy duty is what most people get. i have it with the street disc and it's perfect. the pedal is much firmer than stock, but i actually prefer the feel. it's not so firm to the point where it's a nuisance. if you drive a stock s2k after using this clutch you will most likely prefer this one. it bites quick so it takes about a day or 2 to get used to but after that it becomes 2nd nature and driving the stock clutch feels weird.

and ACT EXTREME DUTY is the one that can cause crank walk...not the HEAVY DUTY that myself and most other FI owners use. HEAVY DUTY is the one that HTG sells.
