Default Adding resonator to 70mm, what size inlet/outlet?

So I found a video showing adding a vibrant performance ultra quiet resonator to an invida/tsudo/skunk2 exhaust eliminated drone and dropped the sound level by over 20db. My question is the exhaust claims to be 70mm which should be 2.75". The resonator is only offered in a 2.5" or a 3" inlet and outlet. Which of these would be the easiest to have welded in? I'm not to worried about restriction since it's such a big exhaust to begin with. I will be removing the current resonator that comes on the exhaust when you buy it and replacing with this one. Thanks guys!

Default

Buy a different straight through perforated resonator in the correct size I'm sure magnaflow will have what you need.

Going up or down in size will slow velocity and drop power a small bit most likley negligable.
I would still rather go up then down.

If you are set on vibrant a muffler shop will make either one work by either expanding the ends of the resonator .25 or expanding the exhaust .25 to fit it on the larger 3" resonator.
