The rev limit will be built into the processor/rom (from the stock ECU) therefore you cant overwrite it there is no means with a simple piggyback.

I dont think greddy emanage could either?

Also why reduce to 8500rpm?, there's quite a bit of power to be unlocked for a further 300odd rpm's but watch the fuel cut kicking in quicker.

Also you'll lose power too low on vtec @5000rpm on stock cams/stock manifold etc.

Do some research or ask my inviting questions

Replace ECU with AEM 6052 unit and get your car tuned!

if you dont have a turbo or supercharger I would recommend a piggy back computer.... apexi vafc would work..... however I think a greddy emanage is better. I actually have one for sale right now with the boomslang harness so it basically becomes a plug and play system.... if your interested send me a personal message and I will give a price. I will let it go really cheap : )

You have bolt on header etc, so lowering vtec by a bit will be beneficial not on stocks parts which is what i said

If you have stock header, cat, and exhaust, then the lowest you will be able to engage VTEC without losing power would be probably 5600 RPM's. Lowering the rev limiter just seems silly.
