My passenger side window motor died and I didn't want to buy a full window regulator when only the motor was shot. I looked everywhere and couldn't find one, but did come across this 2002 civic window motor:
The orientation of the stator housing is 45 degree offset from the original OEM, but the window pulleys fit perfectly on the body of the housing. Upon installing it, 1 bolt slides in the bolt recess perfectly while the other two fit within the larger bolt opening but cannot slide into the bolt recesses as OEM. Overall, the new motor does firmly sit secure against the inner door with all 3 bolts grabbing metal.
Lastly, this motor was for the passenger of the civic, however the switch must be in the opposite direction. I corrected this by swapping the pins on 2-pin connector for the motor, it's a very simple process. Now the window works as expected with all switches including the roof switch.
All in all, not the cleanest AE mod, but for $50 it solved my problem. If there's any interest in doing this mod, I'll add pictures and deeper instructions for the brave.
(Disclaimer: YMMV, you do any mods at your own risk, this is informational only)
Here is the passenger side full window regulator removed with old motor (in the picture the white plastic retainer has already been removed) notice the orientation of the motor:
Here is the regulator with new motor installed, the orientation is 45 degree offset:
The motor didn't need any modification to fit the pulley system, I'll post some pics of how to de-pin and swap pins in the next few days, the connectors were identical to OEM connectors.
I’d like to see the pics and maybe a screenshot of what you purchased from Amazonia
Here are the pictures from the amazon listing, the company selling is OEG parts. The listing title was as follows: New Power Window Motor Compatible With Honda Civic 2002 2003 2004 2005 Front Right 72210-S5A-G01 72210-S5A-G04 72210-S5A-G05 72210S5AG01 72210S5AG04 72210S5AG05 742-836
Hi,
I've got a rebuild kit for the passenger regulator for my S2000 (2003) and for the life of me, I am having a tough time winding the new cables onto the spool that fits over the gear on the regulator motor. Anyone seen/have a link to a either a video or really detailed photos on how to do this?
THanks in advance.
Dave

Here is the most detailed photo I took of the spool assembly, the white plastic retainer can be difficult to get on as both springs are under tension at that step and you have to compress the springs as much as possible to get the neck of the blue locking retainers into the white piece:
