Default AEM CAI DBW FOR AP1 not AP2

Will a AEM DBW 06+ AP2 intake fit an AP1 With no problem? Like it because it sits at the front of the grill getting direct air. Thinking bout using a velocity stack instead of the aem filter it comes with. Cars not my daily driver dont worry its easy to stay away from rain.

Don't get the 06+ it puts the filter right behind the grill which is very prone to dirt, debris and water. This is if you use your car regularly. I went with an 04'-05' version and modified it to fit. It's very simple.
