Default aem ems questions

today i just ordered my aem ems for MY04 and i was wondering what exactley do i need to run this i read something about it needing a aem wideband and im a little confused and cam i advance and retard my timing with this ems?

u need a lot of knowledge to tune this. you can change EVERYTHING! having aem wideband makes it WAY BETTER! good luck.

Sounds like you need to find a good tuner. It's a necessity to get the AEM UEGO wideband when buying the AEM ems. And like camuman said, you can change everything your engine does. Timing, fuel maps, boost control, two step, nitrous...... it can control a lot.

Post up in your local s2ki forum and ask for a recommendation for a tuner in your area.

Note that your temp gauge will not work after install unless you get a gadget that Modifry sells.

i got a certified aem tuner to tune it but i was wondering about the uego wide band thanks guys

UEGO is not mandatory unless your tuner prefers to set the ecu up to use it. And some tuners set up the ecu to not use the UEGO except for road tuning.
