So do you have that little lip? I searched the PL Header and that's what came out. I assume yours looks like that.

 

you need to try removing the cat from the exhaust, and bolting it on to the header separately. also maybe pick up a new donut gasket. after you bolt the cat to the header separately, they should mate perfectly. then you can bolt the cat on to the exhaust.
