Default Header gasket

The header gasket only goes In one way right? I noticed some exhaust leak around the header where it bolts to the engine block.I'm thinking I'm might not have made the bolts tight enough.

Yep, only goes in 1 way. It may be able to be flipped, but that won't change how well it seals. Either you have it improperly torqued, or one of your surfaces isn't perfectly flat anymore.

The surfaces of the head and header. If the header was previously installed improperly it's possible that it warped. You could check it with a straightedge if retorquing it doesn't work.

If everything is flat, try copper or red rtv and tighten from the center out.

What header do you have? If its a cheap one, it is very possible it was not straight and true when it was made.

It's a mugen header.

I'll loosen the bolts and start tighten them down from center. Hopefully that does the trick.
