Don't remember my exhaust being close to the diffuser when I installed everything, but I'll check again to make sure.

I'm interested to see any increased downforce measurements while at speed.

Also has anyone noticed any roaster tails when you're driving fast in the rain? If I recall correctly this is something that rear diffusers cause (at least from cars racing in the wet that I've seen).

Diffusers helps at high speed, where 70mph is just the lowest point. So normally driving won't be able to notice that much of a difference. I recall a member in my local chapter that was in this group buy and moved to Germany. I should asked him to drive on the autobahn with an without the diffuser and see if the top speed is increased.

I removed mine recently to change my diff oil, and all the hex heads were worn solid except for the ones on the bumper. I used vice grips to remove and replace the ones on the brace. That actually worked really well. My frame attachment hardware fell apart pretty quickly but I found that using wire to hang it tightly from the frame worked even better, even if it sounds like a ghetto solution. It's worth noting that the entire assembly, including the replacement brace, sits about a full inch closer to the ground than any part on a stock car will ever be. So it's pretty easy to bottom out in situations that aren't problems without the diffuser. I think with an average lowered car, you can actually bottom the brace on a flat piece of road (meaning no crown in the middle) at maximum suspension compression. That said, I'm still running mine and just keeping an eye out for bad dips in the road. My attitiude is that any kind of mod comes with compromises. I don't regret buying it.

And yeah, Jordan, the roads are bad around here. Really bad. Most of us in the S2000 group drives have a just-hammer-it-and-go mentality for them and I think we've lost a lot of fillings from our teeth. We bottom out, jump the entire cars, etc.

By fell apart do you literally mean the brackets fell apart?

I think he means it fell apart when he removed the screws with the vice grips.

For the record, I have had very few scraping issues with my diffuser. My S is stock height. The only time I scrape is when I pull into a driveway or parking lot where the entrance is a bit too steep and the rear fins end up touching the pavement.

The parts that go inside the rails fell out. The brackets that space the diffuser from the rails stayed on but are bent up pretty bad. I tied the spacer brackets to the rails and called it good. That spot was the first to take damage, other stuff came later on. Jordan did give me reasonable pricing for replacement hardware, I just haven't needed to go through with buying it yet because the wire is working so well and allows enough flexibility to survive hits.

Again, I'm not faulting the product. I like it. Looking forward to the side pieces and splitter.
