uhmmmm... well i dont see how id could hurt all that much, but the engine is designed to move in a certain motion, and a ETD causes it to move less and in a different manner, but i believe the "i heard" stuff is a load of crap so i wouldnt be too worried about it, id like to get one aswell, but idk how it would fit with my future plans of FI

If that useless part does make a difference, change your mounts, lol

I checked my mounts, they're all good.

as ive seen posted plenty of times "i checked, they are fine" then people lift the motor for what ever reason and boom, a mount comes apart... you'd be suprised... if anything, id buy harder mounts before a dampener like this

EDIT: sorry, sounded a little rude, i agree some have used it to great enjoyment and usage in track and street use, glad you enjoy it!

I'm not trying to add any sort of validity to the "ETDs ruin your engine mounts" arguement, but there could be something there. By adding an ETD, you're removing an axis on which the engine normally pivots. The energy that is normally used to pivot your engine, even that little bit, is going to go somewhere else. Perhaps it's shifting a portion of it downwards towards the engine mounts in a manner that they're not used to handling.

Having said that, thanks for the review!

I would say the bulk of the energy directed to somewhere else is absorbed by the damper, which is the intended result
