Any rear wings which *don't* attach to the trunk?

I'm assuming you would lose the trunk functionality guys.

Still, kinda funny!

As dumb as your question is, there is one solution (although it is not CF). Look into the Mugen 3 piece wing. You would have to get a bodyshop to make it fit too.

Kondor, I was about to buy that MG2 trunk with the plans of putting a J's type 1 3d gt wing on the back, but noticed that the contours of the integrated spoiler would complicate that. but it MIGHT be possible to put an adjustable GT wing on it and then you could set the angle to the most sharp to offset the fact that the wing would be mounted on a more flat plane than inclined toward the back of the car

you would still have to worry about the strength of the lid while at speed.

if it mounts on the way edges, i don't think so. but if it mounts in the middle (inside the dip) then yes, because that part is VERY flimsy. my Asuka trunk is the same design minus the integrated spoiler.

If the trunk lid is dry carbon ie ASM, J's etc... it can handle the spoiler.

The issue with the spoiler buckling the trunk lid can be resolved with a fabricated x-brace under the trunk lid.

Mounting the spoiler on the rear fenders is a bad idea on so many accounts, one it's irreversable damage to the fenders.
