They only work well in projectors because they are focused. If you put them in your highbeams you will loose sight distance.
They work Excellent in fog lights though.
i'm only curious if the DRL can power the LED unit since it's designed for halogen bulb and only sends half power when DRL mode and full power when high beam mode.
Reviving this thread to provide a solution. We now have a custom harness + LED solution that will allow any S2000 00-05 or 06+ or DRL equipped S2000s to upgrade to LED High Beams and DRLs. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-mo.../#post24519948
I tried the LEDs in high beams using a $120 kit from retrofitsource. The light just doesnt have the distance. I have upgraded bulbs in my low beams and with the high beams on it just barely provided any more light....not worth it imo. I returned them
OK, they work as fine DRLs. What's the beam pattern at night when they're used as high beams? LEDs are rarely successful in this mode in any vehicle when fitted to reflectors designed for halogen filament bulbs as exact placement in the reflector is critical for the beam pattern.

LED beam patterns will vary greatly depending on the housing, the LED bulb, the LED direction and how it sits in the housing. It's almost impossible to say whether LED X or LED Y will be brighter in Housing Z. You've got to buy them and install them and look at the output for that specific LED in that specific headlight.
So here is some proof from the output from an S2000 headlight comparing our LED headlights and stock.
Hard to tell the beam pattern down an alley. Projecting on a flat screen at 25 feet should show the pattern. Same light fixture just swap the bulbs. Fixture must remain fixed. Tough to do with a S2000 unless you can find a child to swap the bulbs.
