Question is simple, is it a straight swap between the two center consoles? Looking to get OEM center console, a friend gets discounted parts from Honda so now it is the matter of which year/color to pick, really like the silver one though. I looked at the part number in Majestic Honda but seems it is sold as a unit with latches, cupholders & things. Part#7 & #18. What about the side padding around the console? Is that included as well, any kind of input will be greatly appreciated.

expect to spend a pretty penny even with a honda discount. you will need everything in 18, 7 and 11 which is the elbow pad. it might be cheaper getting it second hand if you can get it for less then 300 second hand. I know the cupholder from the factory is a pretty penny. as with the center console leather cover thats another part that you will have to order if you want to switch from your carpet to the leather version

 

These have gone up in price even for used. Lately lowest I've seen them go for is 350-400. Anything less than that usually has scuffs, scratches etc.

You can reuse your soft top switch from your AP1 console, but you need a ap2 hazard because the ap1 button is too big.

 

I was expecting the leather wrap around it was something they didn't sell nor supply. I was hoping to keep,the elbow,pad but the AP1 does come in one solid piece, so definitely will need that as well. Thanks for the hazard light fact, l did not know it wouldn't work, will it be okay if l file/sand around the one l have AP1?

I remember seeing a center console on Craigslist, local (Houston) going for like $250 without elbow pad & cupholder, it is a lot of $$$ for something is not even complete. I do not mind if it a little scratch or whatnot, just decent looking.

According to my calculations, l can probably get part#7, 18 & 11 for high 300's, color of choice as long as it is in their stock l suppose, new from Honda dealership. How much would you quote me for the black one?

lol, I actually like my AP1 center console without the leather. Anyway good luck cause I looked into it and looks quite expensive. A second cup holder would be nice but I just tell my girlfriend to hold it on her lap or share the drink that's in the cup holder.
