Default AP1 Rear Defroster Questions

So the AP1 I picked up had a newer ap2 glass window hard top with rear defroster. It was clearly never hooked up, as there was no switch for it on the 2001 AP1. However, I found a totaled 2007 at a boneyard that they shipped me the carpet (doing a black conversion), center console leather surround, and full plastic center console assembly. The center console does have the defroster button.

I noticed when removing my old center console to fix a shifter rattle, that there was a wire with a connector on the end of it inside there that was not hooked up. (in same harness as the hazards and roof) Does anyone know if this is the rear defroster wiring? If yes, has anyone followed it and figured out how to hook it up to the rear glass/top that is already installed on my car?

Thanks, I am an n00b to s2ks, so please take it easy on me

mods can you please move to "Under the Hood"????

EDIT: Took it apart on lunch. That tiny harness/wire connector runs towards the front of the car. Must be for the EDM front headlight washers or something.... Oh well. Guess I will need to fab up something for the rear defrost.

I actually have the same thing with mine. AP1 with a glass window, and I want to eventually wire the defroster up. I have access to any diagrams at school, and found this one: http://library.alldatapro.com/alldat...9325/142218588

I'm not sure if you'll be able to see it, because we have an account with a program called Alldata. The only problem I have is that the PO took the damn connector off the window. This is definitely going to be difficult, but its something that I think is worth it.

If you decide to go through with it, I'll post the other photos too (the ones where it says "See photo ___")
