Found this on ebay while looking for AP2 headlights. Can you really open the AP1 headlights up and swap these in and have it work? Would I have to change the location of bulbs or anything?
Seems like a much easier and cheaper alternative to doing the actual AP2 headlight conversion.

What do you think?

The turn signal and parking light locations are different on the actual housing behind the trim, and therefore the light sockets wouldn't be in the right places. Also, I *think* the lenses on the newer ones are different...I could be wrong though.

I'm thinking that while you *might* be able to swap out the inside trim, the bulbs won't be in the right place.

I really don't think it's that easy... The housings might be interchangeable but like 73Zero said, the rear of the headlamp is different. (I just did the AP1 -> AP2 headlight swap).
