AP2 to Ap1 headlight swap

AP2 to Ap1 headlight swap
I am trading my AP1 headlights with another person what has AP2 lights. I know there's a thread that talks about swithcing headlights (but not the ballast). I don't want to drill, dremel, or cut wires so does anyone know if it's possible to replace the whole headlight system (lights, ballast, and bulb) between the two cars? ANY help is much appreciated...thanks!

you can do that.just trade your healights to him without taking out the ballast....

when putting the old ap1 ballast and bulb onto the newer ap2 headlights this is much harder...the older ballasts are larger
