Default AP2 LED Tail Lights

Parts Detail NOPI

Does these LED headlights look exactly the same as the OEM taillights except that the light bulbs are LEDs?

Do they look and work a lot better then the OEM taillights?

The pair of taillights is under $200 which is a very good deal but not sure if the build quality is as good as the OEM one.

My car is the one these were tested on. I am using the original set, and have had them for about year and half without any kind of issue.

they are the same light, and fit the same as a AP2 light. They are just now full LED.

It looks like a version of AP2 tails designed to bolt up to an AP1 without cutting was recently released:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/S2000-AP1-M...ZZ-T5Z&vxp=mtr

There was another seller that had them for about $50 less so I ordered a set... we'll see what they're like. If they're crap I'll just return them and pickup a used set of AP2s, I really don't mind cutting my car up lol.

OOO nice. I picked up the depo tail lights earlier this year but I'm still debating whether to get rid of them or not since I still like the ap2 styling better and I'm unwilling to cut up some metal.

wow no cutting needed!! thats awesome. exactly what I was waiting for.

I just recently ordered a set but it was AP2 back style so I would have to cut it. but it was only $215 total. The second one you mentioned is $335 but requires no cutting. I guess its worth the extra $120 to not have to hack up my rear! I'm gonna cancel my order and get these now instead

I ordered the AP1 fitting ones from ebay for $335 and received them on Friday. They came in less than 2 business days. From Taiwan to my doorstop, in California.............pretty amazing.

They look and feel of great quality. Fitment wasnt the best to be honest, but if you play around with the tightness of the mounting screws, you can get it to like a 9/10. The gaps between the bumper and the tail light are really uneven if you tighten all the screws 100%. So you need to keep adjusting and readjusting the screws until you can get them aligned just right. Its not that hard to do, but at the end, I had half of the screws locked 100%, and the other half a fair amount less, to get it to look right. But it does look really good after that.

Unfortunately, either mine has an issue, or these are not plug-and-play. The ebay ad made it seem plug-and-play. All the lights work, and they work great, EXCEPT the signals. nothing at all, not even hyper blinking.

I have videos of it but for some reason, am unable to upload to photobucket right now.

the plug for the signals is the top right one shown here:

bottom right:

its a positive going through the middle, and a ground soldered to the metal cylinder. It goes right into the socket of where the signal bulb would normal go. But it wont work at all. with the blinkers on and halogen bulb in, the halogen bulb with of course work normal. As soon as I remove the halogen bulb, the car will start hyper blinking, and then when I plug in this socked for the LED tails, the car will stop hyperblinking, but the LEDs will not illuminate.

I guess I'll have to reach out to the seller.
