AP2 LED Tail Lights

Got it to work, but it wasnt the relay. The lights actually have built in resistors. I ended up destroying my OEM relay for no reason =[ since its impossible to get this sucker off without breaking the tabs
I ended up just cutting off the connectors for the signals. They were made of really cheap metal so I thought it was worth a shot.
a couple of T-taps and connectors later:
and voila, signals work great
beautiful LEDs. I thought the fitment was pretty good, but I met up with another s2000 owner and he was able to point out the bad fitment right off the bat. I'll try to get some better pictures of the gaps when I'm free.

if you have the same issues as me regarding the signals, make sure you cut the connector off as close to the connector as you can, to give you more room to maneuver the wire once the connectors are on. The more slack the better.

Thanks very much sir for the info! Very happy they ended up working one way or another.
Debating now whether I should have just picked up a used OEM set and cut my rear panel. Ugh. Oh well.

yea, those are completely different from the ones my friends work produced. I showed him that listing, and these photos and it looks like a company just made a replica for the AP1.

Have a link where we can buy those legit LED lights? Would rather avoid any headaches with replicas...

I wouldn't have minded if they costed a little more and guaranteed perfect fitment. Regardless, for $335, I think its worth it. I've already showed it to a number of people and the only person who could really point out the fitment issues was another s2k owner. LEDs are soooo much more beautiful than incandescent bulbs.

I just intall the Spyder LED tail lights, and I love it. It only costs a fraction of the OEM, but the LEDs outperforms the OEM traditional light bulb. Most importantly, they both look the same.

dman, i am sorry but i was wrong. Spyder produced the ones you have as well. It looks like you have run into resistor problems. I would recommend having them warrantied.
