bump steer is caused by your suspension compressing. Bump steer was more of a problem with AP1's since the control arms are shorter. I have an AP2 and my roomie has an AP1. AP2 handles MUCH better over bumps (both cars are stock). if you plan on buying coilovers i wouldn't worry about the BSK. With coilovers your suspension wont compress as much so the problem will be minimal. But to answer your question...yes it will reduce bump steer

Careful...looks like those are pillow ball style for the track only. Do not use those on the street for extended periods. They will transmit much more vibration to the frame and could lead to cracking and failure.

yah heim joints are really rough on things in the suspension.

so what about this part actually reduces the bumpsteer issue? you really cant change the length or the arm or you would get wicked alignment issues. is it the heim joint on the end(s)? or is it something else?

also i have seen ones with a normal bushing on the inside and a heim joint on the outside...seems like that would be alot less....stressful on stuff.

That might be a good question for the Race & Competition forum. Or email Tony at TC Design and ask him about the ap1 BSK that they developed for the track day junkies on the West Coast. (http://www.tcdesignfab.com)

I know why bumpsteer occurs...but the mechanics of how these replacement control arms impact that is not so clear for me. I believe it has something to do with the angle that the control arm makes from the knuckle to the frame. That can be changed by using shims.

I thought this isn't really needed for cars that are not lowered. AJ Racing has these for sale right now.
