Default Ap2 swap into ap1

Now i know this has been asked already but im going to swap my ap1 motor for an ap2. Do i need the wire harness? should i buy the ap2 tranny or use the ap1? Im guessing the ecu is used but somepeople run ap1s.

IIRC, the AP2 tranny has shorter gears 1-4 and taller 5-6 (no idea if it will bolt up or not, sorry). As for the ECU, I think you can use the AP1...but you really don't want to rev the 2.2L to 9K so swapping ECU's would prob be a good idea as well.

If the motor is 04-05 F22c use AP1 wiring its a direct swap, you would want to keep the AP1 tranny and AP1 ECU check this out My link Good luck

what i dont get is you used the ap1 tranny? wouldnt the ap2 have shorter gears and that would make it accelarate faster?

I have more power than stock and I have taller gears, I hold the power longer. It's even better once you turn to boost
