Default APR GTC 300/200 Wing

Hi guys I was thinking about purchasing either the gtc 300 or 200 wing for my s2000, I was however concerned about it being stolen as I have to leave the car on public roads, Are these wings easy to take apart and dismantle or are they like my stock oem wing where it's not removable from the outside- this is what I'm looking for.

If it is the case that the apr wings can be dismantled easily from the outside- would you be able to recommend a decently big wing that isn't removeable from the outside. Something like the CR wings come into mind.

Many thanks Leo

They can be unbolted easily from the outside if they want just the wing. The bases are harder to take apart but in the end if someone wants something they are going to get it if they are determined enough. I wouldn't let that stop you from running a wing if you like it though.

Ah ok, Thankyou. I still want to run a wing just not such an expensive one- which can be dismantled so easily. I have to park in bad areas for work. -Could you suggest a wing which isn't easily dismantled from the outside?

They are all pretty much constructed the same way. Mugen, Voltex, APR. Best bet is to just not get a wing or have a second trunk that you use when you want a wing and one when you dont.

How hard is it to swap out trunks? That might be a good idea.

I guess, I already have an oem wing and it doesn't stand out too much as its painted to match the body and is not easy to take off from the outside, That's what I'm looking for just slightly bigger. I just think if i make it easy for them they would do it but otherwise they probably wouldn't bother.

Sounds like you need an oem ap2 wing or cr wing. I believe they will have to take your trunk apart to steal those but could be wrong

I think I have the oem ap2 wing, problem with the CR wing is the holes for mounting it are in a different place and then I would be left with holes from my old wing... :< and also it probably needs to be reinforced for the bigger CR wing. - Are there any Cr sized & safe from the outside wings that fit into the oem ap2 holes like the apr gtc 300/200, thanks again.
